FENDER BENDER · 10/29/2009
just after we left our lawyers office and having had signed all the paperwork to start the adoption process for craig to adopt my son daniel, we were headed over to the train club (were members of). we were sitting at a 4-way stop and i was talking to craig about something..most likely about Dan, or Daniel, or the adoption process, or the fact we had FINALLY gotten headway with the adoption process... when all of a sudden, my head was bounced back onto the headrest. craig said we were hit from behind. i couldnt turn my head too see because i was strapped in with my seat belt, but i knew my head was really hurting. he and the other driver got out and spoke to eachother, i was still dazed a bit from the impact, but eventually gathered myself together..and exited the car as well. when i got out i was stunned too see a fairly young female, wearing military garb...not to say they are perfect, but i was forced too displace any anger i had over the situation, to remind myself she was serving our country, helping to keep it free... they exchanged info...looked over each others cars, noted there was no serious damage done to either car. the worst of the damage as far as we could see was she unseated the tag light on the back of the car. she went her way, we went ours. it would be later wed get a call from her, she was so sweet to make sure she followed up on us, giving us the rest of her info in case we wanted to go to insurance with anything, we didnt feel the need. MICHELLE
i was stunned, and shaken up a bit.
i wasnt sure what had happened.
and by that i mean, not one scratch on either car, we were all fortunate that just our bumpers held the impact for us all.
