I just finished my special camping 2005 mix cd! Well cds. There are two. See I'm driving up with Sarah and Erin (she's driving) and so of course to coomerate this occasion I had to make a mix cd! And since 20 songs wasnt enough I had to make TWO.It's mostly fast stuff that can be sung along to in the car, at least that's sort of the intention.Here's the song list:CAMPING 2005Disc 11. There's defitnely no meaning behind Hollaback Girl or Barbie Girl, but some are there for a reason. Let me go through the ones that do because obviously you want to know, right?The very first song, "Let's talk about sex" reminds me of a girl scout camping trip two years ago. It was great. Emily drove, and I was in the backseat with Sarah and Katie. And Emily had her SEX cd and of course the song was on it. And I instantly fell in love with it! And so from now on it reminds me of girl scouts which is why it's there.Okay perhaps there's no special meaning to the others, but most of the AC/DC ones (except for "You Shook me all night long" which I chose) and "Dreamer" were selected by Sarah, and Chariot and Collide were selected by Erin.Oh and I purpously put "And we danced" as the last song because its just a good ending song.So we leave tomorrow at 6. Which means because we're the most disorganized girl scout troop you've ever met, we leave at 7.I'm just really excited to be driving up with the two of them. And so that we dont have to drive with anyone else we're taking equiptment.I still have to pack my bag and its already 12:15am! Oh well. And I figure when I get home from school tomorrow I'll shower since I didnt do it tonight.But now let me discuss today.Today was great! I mean the final- not so great. Taking the final in Mr Haritos' room- also not so great and gave me 7th grade flashbacks since he was the proctor. But the rest of the day was. Luckily Ms Val didnt try to teach us anything today. Not that she ever teaches us anything anyways. And even Mr Viega didnt care what we did- I ended up playing Uno with Barry, Andy, Claire and Phil...oh Ryan and Marty too only they defitnely just squatted in on our game and then were cheating. And I mean, common, cheating at UNO!? Classy, right?Because today was the last day of finals my brain was so messed up and after I (mostly) cleaned out my locker and I was walking down the halls heading out to go to speech I was thinking about how this was my last Friday of the year. And it really took me quite a while to realize that it was Thursday, not Friday. I mean I knew it wasnt Friday- because I know the events that are happening Friday its just the atmosphere felt like Friday. Everyone was so happy and had the "Everything's FINALLY over!" smile on their faces.Speech was really fun too. Mia looked so adorable today! Well actually she looked a lot older! Which I think is due in part to the fact that yesterday was her very LAST day of middle school and that next year she'll be in HIGH SCHOOL! It was cool because we had therapy outside and next week we're going to have speech at UNO's as a sort of end of school celebration! :DAfter that I came home and luckily I was able to get the 65 so it was a pretty quick ride. When I got home I didnt really do much. Most of my day after school was spent online, and sort of working on the mix cds.Oh but around 7, I think it was, my sister needed a cd out of my car so I went to get it for her. Oh and by the way- the other day my mom let me keep the keys to my car for the day and she hasnt asked for them back so I feel quite privaldged! :P Anyways. So instead of just going in on the passenger side and getting it out I decided to go in on the drivers side. But instead of just reaching in for the cd, I climbed into the car. Well jeep, its bigger than a car. And I closed the door. I just sat there chilling for a minute when I decided to be really daring and take off the Crook Lock. It felt so nice just sitting there in MY car. It was this big safe red box. I can't wait untill I can actually get in, turn the key, roll down the window and go for a drive. But for now I think I might have to spend a bit more time in my car. I know that sounds rather silly, espically with the warmer weather approaching but you wouldnt believe how nice it felt. I felt grown up and ready to face anything. It's so beautiful and I just love my keys. They're so pretty. I even love the really pathetic plastic pink key chain they're on that says "Nursing" on it.My car is just amazing. I know- rather pathetic. But I hadnt realized how enpowering it was to sit down in that drivers seat. I've sat in it like twice before but thats it. It's hard to believe that in less than a month I'll be sixteen and I'll be able to legally drive it (with the company of a licenced driver, of course).It makes me really excited for the future. Most of it anyway. I cant wait till school's finally over. 5 days, and we can make it. I mean- 5 days- piece of cake! Espically since 2 are half days and boy do I love those half days!Alright well I need to go deal with the packing for camping thing. But I'll be talking to you kids later.
