If it wasn't for him, he'd be as happy as me
I got "Mmhmm" at Wal-Mart. I chose from that and two other CDs I was interested in: "Jesus Freak" by dc Talk and "Reset" by Mute Math. JF and Mmhmm were about $10, Reset was about $9. But why pay $9 for an EP when I can pay $10 for a new, 14-track CD? I might get Jesus Freak some other time. Anyway, the CD's pretty good. I don't really like all the teenage talk on it (especially when it's a serious song, which is most of them). I wonder if it's all to appeal to the younger audience, or if it's partially because the one singer still sounds like a teenager. And some of the phrases don't really make sense if you think about them (see entry title ;). I also don't get why the weakest song (The One I'm Waiting For) is first on the CD. But anyway, onto the positives. My favorite songs are "I so Hate Consequences," "Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet?" and "Maintain Consciousness." I thought the transition from "Which to Bury" into "Let it All Out" was pretty clever. So haven't I updated in a while? Well, the week was hectic. I still have homework to do. First factor: Sketchbook. If I haven't already explained this, I get a sketchbook assignment on Monday and it's due by Friday. It gives instructions on what to draw, and I have to draw it in my spare time. I got my main ideas down in a doodle notebook. First and a halfst factor: My only Study Hall of the week, dedicated to sketchbook, was interrupted by a woman for "Talent Search." It's basically a college thing for semi-poor people such as I. Second factor: Dentist appointment Wednesday (day of Study Hall) after school. Third factor: Went to PA's house for Wednesday night church stuff (I should just call it Teen Naz Nite, or TNN). Third and a halfrd factor: Car broke down after TNN was over. Well, it wasn't so much as breaking down, it was more like not getting up. It still isn't working. Fourth factor: I gotta walk to school for the time being, which included Thurday and Friday. Fifth factor: History assignment, assigned Monday due Friday. Final factor: Today was scheduling. This doesn't really have much to do with me not being on, but it was a part of all this hecticicity.
