i JUST wrote about the opportunity for daniel too take for a summer program (METRO TECHNOLOGY CENTERS SUMMER BRIDGE to the FUTURE PROGRAM) and my phone rings.

its on my desk and we have caller id so i can see who too avoid when they call (BILL COLLECTORS).

name on the caller ID: OK PUBLIC SCHOOL

with a raised eyebrow, craig and i both look at that, as it rings the 3rd ding. we were both trying too rationalize (with a bit of trepidation thinking daniel may NOT have graduated) i hand the phone over too craig.

(sometimes i just dont want too face the unsettling truth. i have the right too avoid issues just like anyone else has)

so he answers it.."hello?"

and he goes quiet, as i can hear the sound of a womans voice speaking ...

he puts the phone on speaker, so i am then obligated too be faced with whatever news im not really wanting too hear.

and we both hear...

"your son or daughter has missed one or more classes for the date of: may 28th"

he hangs up. we didnt even listen too the rest of the automated message.

THERES NO MORE SCHOOL! YESTERDAY was the LAST day of school (by the calendar online, anyway).

**ROLLS EYES**

im now wondering, since school is no longer in, if anyone in administration will go and shut that automated machine thing off, or will we get a call ever weekday, reporting to us that daniel isnt in class for one or more classes...
