METRO TECHNOLOGY CENTERS SUMMER BRIDGE to the FUTURE PROGRAM LETTER IN THE MAIL · 5/28/2009
a few weeks ago, daniel had come home telling me there was someone at his school talking about a program that was going too be going on this summer where he could learn basic mechanical skills on a car. his interest wasnt in the learning, but in the bonus hed get for doing the course...he says, THEY said...75 dollars would be given too every student who participated in the program. i asked for the paperwork, that would reflect the course as well as the financial part, and he said they had filled out paperwork at school, and sent it off to the homes... he had, inadvertently put our OLD address (2 years ago we lived there) and not this current address on the envelope, so we assumed that that information would go too some other address. i had said, i didnt think there was a 1425 moraine, and maybe the mail would be sent back too the school, and the correct address would be looked up and then sent too the right address. well, today a notice came in the mail about the program. heres what it says: "METRO TECHNOLOGY CENTERS SUMMER BRIDGE to the FUTURE PROGRAM 4901 S. BRYANT AVENUE LAURICE BUTLER - COORDINATOR Dear Parent: Congratulations. Your child has been selected to participate in Metro Technology Centers Bridge the the Future Program. The Program will start Monday, june 8th 2009 and conclude on Tuesday June 30, 2009. A parent orientation, with your child, will be held at South Bryant Campus Automotive Center, 4901 S. Bryant Ave, on monday june 8th, 2009 at 8:00am. In order for your child to attend, you must bring your child and stay for the orientation. which will last about one hour. ANY STUDENT PRESENT WITHOUT A PARENT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. We are looking forward to a very successful program. thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Sincerely Yours, Laurice Butler" timing for this is perfect (so far as we dont have too take daniel to any summer school classes this year, we havnt heard yet, but he says he graduated, so im guessing summer schools a thing of the past and hes now a 9th grader.) craig and myself are going too be WALKING LEADERS for the cub scouts in our churchs DAY CAMP all day every day for the week thats going on. craig said well be able too be there for this orientation...IF...daniel STILL has the desire too do this course. daniel got a canoe trip also with his boyscout troop coming up this summer as well. busy summer for us all. and its just started.
