Darfur/Darfur exhibit coming to Calgary · 2/19/2008 This is a public story

The African Festival and Presentation Society, the organizers of the Afrikadey! Festival, will be bringing Darfur/Darfur,  http://www.darfurdarfur.org/main/ , an international multi-media touring exhibition about the crisis (genocide and atrocity) and culture in Darfur, to Calgary from March 14 to March 21, 2008.  This is being done In conjunction with The Glenbow Museum.  The plan is to make the experience comprehensive through the inclusion of film, a symposium and panel discussion, mini-exhibitions, children’s art displays and music.

In order to provide some background, I have compiled below what I think are 20 very good current websites dealing with the Darfur crisis. This list was derived from a keyword analysis of a first wave of almost 250 related websites. The keywords that were extracted are also given, so you can have some sense of what the top 20 websites are generally about. I hope this proves useful to anyone interested in this very important issue. If you would like to suggest any other sites, please feel most welcome to do so. And while we're at it, a question: What do you think would be the best compassionate way(s) in which to end the crisis in Darfur? And how do we make that happen?
