LARRY T. DOUGHTY'S THOUGHT'S ON CIVIC, AND POLITICAL ISSUES OF THE DAY, AND A LITTLE MORE..

by Larry T. Doughty

Welcome, from the great City of Brewer, across the Penobscot River from Bangor. 44.8N- 68.8W.. over looking the old Eastern Fine Paper Company. Which now has been renamed "Eastern Manufacturing Facility", owned by Cianbro.

A little something here about me, and remember this blog is all about ME! I was born, and brought up pretty much right here in So.Brewer. I am a member of the Brewer City Council, having been first elected in October 1985. One of the first major opportunities of the Council was to march in unison across the Veteran's Bridge into Bangor. An opening that was fun, and an amazing day. Having had the honor of serving the citizens of Brewer for 21 years, it has been an honor. Just on the 3rd of November I was re-elected again for the City Council. This is the 8th- 3 year term- for me. Will have served 24 years, if I make it to the end of this term. What a honor and privilege.

My home is located on Goupee Street,.I live right next door to my son Mark and his wife Tammie and Candace Marie (14), and little man Charles Mark (12). My daughter Laurel and husband Bill with their two children Jessica and Josh live in Surry. I will be sharing my journal, as I did with the old AOl, and anybody else that cares to STOP by for a 'look and see', and leave a comment if you feel like it. Your continued interest in my blog is appreciated, and I welcome your comments. Your identity may remain as an "unknown".

Oh, and yes, I have my 4 year old chocolate lab, Bessy- My special baby..
